Island in the stream

The capital, Pierre, is threatened with flood waters. All around are flooded fields, and yet we are dry in Aberdeen. I feel guilty, almost, being untouched by the forces of nature. We've seen the tsunami in Japan, the tornadoes in the south and floods in the north. Here, it is a perfect day of room temperature weather.
Robert and Beth are visiting with family. We had a nice cookout yesterday at Miranda's, except for Kenneth burning his hand on the barbecue.
Art teaches a U.S. history class starting tomorrow.
Mike spent a week at Boys State and didn't exactly enjoy himself. He did run for state treasurer.
RJ is riding his unicycle in the ACT production of Chicago next week. He's spent many hours sitting around reading since he only has a roll-on part and there is a lot of rehearsing for the actors. He's doing some crew work, too.
