Pops Concert

The pace picks up as school comes to an end. For Laurie, there was the concert yesterday, and project fair board due Friday, her dance dress rehearsal Saturday and a field trip to Fort Sisseton today.

For Michael, there are the AP tests continuing this week. Yesterday, Mike had an AP test in the morning, rushed to piano guild, practiced music for orchestra accompaniment that he hadn't yet had a chance to look over, rushed back, finished school, rushed back to get dressed, went back to school for the Pops concert.

At the Pops concert, he accompanied orchestra, accompanied choirs and show choirs, played in bands, sang in vocal jazz, played in jazz bands. He won a couple awards, including the Louis Armstrong award again this year, and he sang a solo with a capella choir. He was running back and forth across the gym all night long.

Here's Madrid, where he's introduced with "A little Marmy Magic..." (Marmy is his nickname at school). After that is A Capella singing Queen's Somebody to Love, and he has a solo part toward the end of the clip.
